Do you need advice on your export strategy to the USA?

US Lawyer Tom Thorelli and Steve Lanier of the American World Services Corporation are visiting Leigh Court, Bristol on the 7th June and are available for free appointments on a 1-2-1 basis. Both Tom and Steve bring a huge amount of knowledge and experience about the US market.

Tom Thorelli

The law firm of Thorelli & Associates specialises in working with small to medium sized European companies doing business in the US.

They help clients with:

• negotiating confidentiality and non-use, sales, agency, representative, distribution, and license agreements

• joint ventures and acquisitions (including legal due diligence)

• registering trademarks/copyrights

• organising companies

• negotiating leases

• securing different visas which may be necessary to staff the local operation

• helping to minimise the risk of product liability problems through a service called product liability preventive management

• dispute resolution and litigation matters.

Steve Lanier

Steve Lanier has been actively assisting European SME's for over 20 years to develop the US as an export market. Since founding American World Services in 1993, he has worked with hundreds of companies and organizations developing their marketing activities in the US . He brings years of expertise in providing personalized strategy development to each of AWS' clients.

Mr. Lanier has an M.A. in international affairs (trade and development concentration) from American University in Washington, D.C., and a B.A. in communication from Bethel University in Minnesota.

During the meetings Steve will focus on:

• Strategy development - including sales channels and possible market niches

• Marketing plan - including story development and possible marketing actions

• Partner identification - including type of partners and approaches
