Mission overview

The Department for International Trade is organising a trade mission to the United Arab Emirates to explore opportunities for TVET providers.

The mission will be open to UK organisations that develop and deliver TVET programmes and will be an excellent opportunity to showcase your expertise to key contacts in the region. You will have the chance to meet government officials, key stakeholders and education representatives.

The UAE government recognises the key role TVET plays in building a sustainable and diversified knowledge based economy. They have already taken steps to equip their young generation with skills to achieve the core goals for Vision 2021 and the Centennial 2071. The current Fourth Industrial Revolution presents new opportunities for future skills UK organisations can play an important role in meeting the skill needs.

Proposed Itinerary

  • Departure from the UK: 3rd February 2020
  • UAE: 4th - 6th February 2020
  • Departure to the UK: 7th February 2020

The final programme will be confirmed in due course and is subject to amendment.

Cost

This trade mission is free to attend. The Department for International Trade will organise and cover the cost of participation in all in-country meetings, receptions, in-country vehicle transport to events, venues and networking events.

However, UK and international travel, subsistence, accommodation and other costs, including visa fees are to be paid in full by the delegate.

Travel, Visa and Hotel Arrangements

All flights and hotels must be booked by the delegates. Obtaining necessary visas is the sole responsibility of participants.
