Opportunities with Maire Tecnimont: UK Export Finance Supplier Fair

The Opportunity:

Maire Tecnimont Group is currently seeking to engage suppliers for various projects they are pursuing, including an Aromatics complex in Malaysia, a Fertilizer complex in Belarus and a Urea granulation plant in Turkey. Currently, there are a total of eight projects in which Maire Tecnimont is looking for UKEF financing support but this number is consistently growing.

Should Maire Tecnimont be successful, it will need to place numerous purchase orders and service contracts with UK companies to meet its obligations for UKEF financing. Maire Tecnimont is committed to expand its UK supply chain by working closely with UK suppliers to support these potential projects, and this event is an opportunity to meet with the procurement and commercial teams to find out how to secure these supply contracts. 

Maire Tecnimont Group works in the following core areas:

• Oil & Gas
• Chemical & Petrochemicals
• Gas Monetisation (Ammonia, Urea, Methanol)
• Power Generation
• Energy Transition

They are looking to access the UK supply chain and meet with companies who can provide the goods and services listed on the procurement list tab.

Event Info:

UKEF’s Supplier Fair model is an ambitious programme to help increase UK content in overseas projects through high profile exporter events, working with Trade Associations and the Department for International Trade, activating the UK supply chain and allowing UKEF to provide attractive financing to the overseas buyer.

These one-day matchmaking events place relevant UK suppliers in front of international buyers, who are actively looking for British products and services for their overseas project or projects; helping the buyer make successful commercial decisions and the supplier win overseas contracts.

• Technical and executive overview of the projects

• Details of the procurement process for UK suppliers

• Hear from Export Finance Managers on how UK Export Finance can help support you in your export journey

Why you should attend:

• Strong opportunity to enter the supply chain for this project. A significant amount of UK supplies will be required as a condition of the UK government’s export finance support.

• Build and consolidate relationships with procurement representatives from Maire Tecnimont, whilst also meeting with other suppliers, officials from UK Export Finance and the Department for International Trade.

• Support for entry into new markets: UK Export Finance’s support will mean the overall credit risk for the project will be equivalent to supplying a UK government project. UK government officials will be present to provide guidance on doing business in-market and to discuss further opportunities.
