What will I learn?

Despite international opportunities, UK companies need to take a diligent approach to mitigate both exposure and risk when exporting; a robust legal and IP strategy goes a significant way to minimise these risks.

Join this free webinar to learn more from our experts about the above considerations and more.

Who is this event for?

This webinar is both relevant for new and existing exporters in the South West engaged in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, biotech, CROs, medtech and service/training providers.

Why export?

Life science manufacturing makes a significant contribution to the UK economy, accounting for 11.4% (£30.7bn) of all manufactured goods exported. Due to its strong global reputation, there is a high demand from international buyers who are keen to access UK expertise, experience, and innovative solutions. The UK has a strong global reputation for its 70-year experience of running the National Health Service, with a reputation for clinical excellence and high-quality private-sector delivery.

For new exporters, it is recommended you identify and protect IP before exporting to a new market and undertake the relevant level of due diligence to minimise risk when you start to export. Wider legal considerations, such as contracting, partnership agreements, NDAs and data protection laws must also be prescribed detailed attention. New markets may have their own unique legal and IP jurisdictions, requiring different approaches to existing practice for UK exporters.
