The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) invites companies from the Greater Manchester area to join this high-profile trade mission to Japan.

Providing a unique platform for brand exposure, the delegation will be accompanied by the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham and Greater Manchester Combined Authority portfolio lead for Economy, Business and Inclusive Growth, Councillor Bev Craig.

About the Opportunity 

Japan is currently the third largest economy in the world. Due to the Comprehensive and Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) with Japan, we have entered an exciting new chapter in trading relations between both countries. This agreement is projected to boost trade by £15.7 billion over the next 15 years.

Working closely with our Japan based DBT team, we have identified opportunities most likely to benefit the delegation.

About Expo 2025

Expo 2025 in Osaka will bring together global innovations and cutting-edge technologies with a shared goal; to help resolve global issues facing mankind.

Held over 6-months, the Expo is expected to attract 28.2 million visitors, including 3 million from overseas, with a focus on saving lives, empowering lives and connecting lives.
