Open Call for Sponsorship: Small Business Policy Conference – Wilton Park
Event Overview
The Department for Business and Trade (DBT), the UK Government department for economic growth, is seeking sponsors to help deliver the Small Business Growth policy conference.
This event will bring together a wide variety of views and experiences to shape the forthcoming Small Business Strategy and Business Growth Service. The event will be held at Wilton Park in East Sussex and include senior officials, small businesses and their representative organisations, devolved and local government officials, and academics. We expect there will be a keynote speech from the Secretary of State for Business and Trade or the Minister for Small Business.
At Budget 24 the Chancellor announced the Government would publish a strategy for growing and supporting small and medium sized businesses in 2025. It is DBT’s intention to publish the Small Business Strategy in Spring/Summer 2025, after the Spending Review. The centrepiece of the Strategy will be the launch of a new Business Growth Service, a simplified route to government support for all small and medium sized businesses. This event will be an opportunity to co-create both the Strategy and Service, shaping them in collaboration with stakeholders.
