How can we ensure a safe event?
The event will take place in December; this means flu and cold season in the Northern hemisphere! Also, COVID has definitely not gone away, unfortunately. So, whilst we can enjoy the freedom of travel and large in-person events, we should still be sensible and consider what we can do to make meeting in person as safe as possible for everyone.
Top tips:
- Please do not travel if you have cold or flu like symptoms, we understand you REALLY want to join in, but we don't want to spread any nasty bugs around half our network.
- Consider covid self-testing. You can still buy these, so if in doubt, just do a test.
- Travelling through airports, on public transportation and being in close porximity to large amounts of people is always going to increase the chances of catching something. Packing some hand sanitiser or wipes when you travel can help, and if you feel unsure then wearing a mouth mask is also an extra level of precaution.
