Istanbul, Turkey: 6-8 March 2024
Delegate Information
The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) is delighted to invite businesses from across the Midlands to submit an expression of interest to participate in a trade mission to Turkiye. The programme is designed for export-ready companies who operate in automotive and future mobility sectors and will be the second of its kind following the successful mission in February 2023.
Please find below more information on this visit and an application form to complete, should you want to participate. Please note that places are limited and your place is not confirmed until you have received an email confirmation from us.

- Mustafa Ozcan will send you a reservation confirmation email.
- Please copy zeynep.karamanli@fcdo.gov.uk in your email to the hotel so that we can keep track of bookings.
- Breakfast is included, whereas 10% VAT and 2% accommodation tax will be added to the prices shown above.
- Pre-payment before arrival is not required. Payments will be made during check-in. Credit cards are accepted.

Airport:
Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW) is recommended as it is much closer to Tuzla area.
Taxi prices below are for guidance only.
Please note that taxis are yellow cabs.
Turquoise taxis have higher rates. Meters are compulsory.
- SAW Sabiha Gokcen Airport to the Tuzla – Holiday Inn: 14 km. Yellow taxi costs approximately 280 TL.
- IST Istanbul Airport to Tuzla – Holiday Inn: 80 km. Yellow taxi costs approximately 1,700 TL.
Public transportation from Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW) to Holiday Inn Tuzla Bay:
You will need an Istanbul Card to use public transport, which is available at the vending machines at SAW metro station.

Flight and Accommodation details deadline: Friday, 2 February at 16h00Places are limited on this trade mission, and we anticipate a waitlist will be in place. With this in mind, we encourage you to book your flights as soon as you have received confirmation of acceptance from us due to price hikes.
Once your application has been approved, we will email you with details on how to submit your travel information.
We require this by Friday 2 February 2024 at 16h00 to confirm your commitment on this trade mission. If we do not receive your travel details by the deadline, we will unfortunately have to offer your place to someone on the waitlist.
