The Department for Business and Trade will be hosting a UK Trade Mission to Barbados from 18-22 November 2024, in collaboration with the Renfrewshire Business Network and Invest Barbados.
The objective of this multi-sectoral Trade Mission is to facilitate mutually beneficial partnerships with key stakeholders in Barbados and throughout the Eastern Caribbean, as well as provide invaluable insights on key market opportunities.
This Trade Mission will include;
- A robust programme of strategic meetings with a wide cross-section of regional firms including SME’s, sole proprietors as well as established corporations
- Bespoke meetings tailored to your firm’s priorities
- Networking sessions
- Comprehensive briefings and presentations from key interlocutors
Exciting export and investment opportunities exist for UK firms in Barbados as the government undertakes a complete energy transition to 100% renewables by 2030, and a comprehensive digitisation programme for the public service. Private sector developers have also announced multimillion dollar infrastructure projects across the island.
Similar opportunities exist in the Eastern Caribbean across Antigua & Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia and St. Vincent & the Grenadines. International donors, including UK Aid, World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank and the European Union, have a pipeline of over £1.6 billion in projects across these seven markets.
Join this multisector trade mission which will seek to explore business opportunities in the aid-funded business, renewables, technology, education, food and drink, travel and leisure, life sciences, technology, blue economy and professional service sectors
Logistics and other support will be provided to all delegates, which includes facilitating in person meetings with partners throughout the Eastern Caribbean. The Mission will be hosted at the breath-taking Crane Hotel.
