BGS Scotland Region Autumn Meeting
Wednesday 1st - Thursday 2nd November 2017
The British Geriatrics Society Scotland branch Autumn meeting 2017 will be on Wednesday 1st - Thursday 2nd at the Carmelite Hotel, Aberdeen.
Wednesday will comprise a guest lecture followed by dinner. Tickets are available for partners and non-geriatricians who may wish to attend. On Thursday we will run an educational session, with talks that will include the most recent research and clinical practice.
The full meeting rate includes the dinner. If attending the full meeting, attendees are requested to make their own
arrangements for accommodation on the Wednesday evening.
There will as always be a session for talks selected from submitted abstracts, and also some poster presentations. The abstract submission deadline is 17:00 on Friday 15th September 2017 to Sarah.Keir@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk
Abstract submission criteria as below
Abstracts are encouraged and will be accepted as platforms or posters to be displayed at the meeting.
Please read the instructions below before preparing your abstract.
Your abstract must include:
• A title
• Names of authors (presenting author to be underlined)
• Provenance (i.e. place of work)
• Contact details (including telephone number, fax number and email address) The abstract text should be no longer than 300 words and must be in English. Where possible, please use the four standard sub-headings of:
Introduction,
Method,
Results and
Conclusion(s).
Submission electronically
Please mail your abstract (prepared according to the general guidelines above) as an attachment in MS Word (*doc) format to Sarah.Keir@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk before the deadline
