Dear Colleagues,
Dear BIRD and BINAstoria members,
Dear friends,
I am delighted to introduce our 2nd Educational BIRD symposium: « Crossroads in IBD: BIRD as your GPS ».
The IBD world has evolved rapidly during
the last decade and we are facing exciting revolutions in terms of genetics,
microbiota and new inflammatory pathways. This has brought new hope for our
patients, but in the meantime, has made our approach of the disease definitely
more complex.
Our symposium is divided into State-of-the-Art lectures in the
morning and interactive workshops in the afternoon. In the morning, our
speakers will help you to make rational decisions in treatment strategies,
highlight treatment risk stratification, optimize the timely call to our
surgeons and explain how to deal with drug ineffectiveness. In the afternoon,
case-based discussions will bring interactive workshops on the everyday IBD
practice.
I hope that you will enjoy the day!
I would like to thank the Board and EduCom for organizing the program and all our partners for their continuous support.
