Welcome to 22nd Arab Regional Conference!
Dear Presidents & Chairs of the Member Organisations of the Arab Region,
A fragrant greetings,
With the generous support and hosting of the Tunisian scouts, the 22nd Arab Regional Conference will be held on the sisterly land of green Tunisia, from 17 to 22 September 2019 under the slogan: 'Smiling and Giving for Growth'.
We will work together to set the general policy of the Girl Guides Movement in the Arab Region and achieve its goals within the WAGGGS policy. The conference will also provide an opportunity to share best practices, share experiences, and establish new networks. Moreover, it will reach a way forward to the next triennial 2019 – 2022 ensuring the development of regional plans that meet the needs and priorities of member organizations. In addition, it will highlight the image of the movement and its development across the Arab region. Also the election of the Arab Regional Committee, which will lead our ambitious plans to provide a high quality experience to empower all girls and young women of the Arab Region.
The program of the Arab Conference will be diversified: from the governance, global updates, lessons learned from the past, planning for the future, presentation of the region's most important achievements during the previous triennium, exploring available networking opportunities as well as interactive workshops provided by member organisations. The conference is also a real model for engaging young women and giving them a greater role in preparing, implementing and making decisions by highlighting their role in governance.
Finally, on behalf of the Arab Regional Committee, we extend our sincere thanks to the Tunisian Scouts for their efforts and we appreciate the continued support to ensure the success of the Twenty-second Regional Conference.
