Leuven

Leuven is an ancient capital, a prominent brewing centre and Flander's oldest university town. The students, around 25.000 during the year, give the city an upbeat, creative air. The picturesque core is small enough to see visit the sights in a short day trip.

The most iconic sight of Leuven is its incredible 15th-century Town Hall. Other architectural locations are the Saint-Pieters Church, the University Library and its 'Groot Begijnhof', the idyllic, village-like corner of Leuven.

Have a drink on the 'Oude Markt' and pull up a chair at the longest bar in Europe. Enjoy this pleasant, safe and bustling student town, where centuries-rich history meets cutting-edge science.
