Provisional Mission Itinerary
(Subject to minor changes as we get closer to the mission and firm-up arrangements)
Flights and Accommodation
Flights delegates are free to choose their own flights, depending on their own requirements
Hotels the nominated hotels for the visit and where we expect most delegates will stay are:
Atlantic City (nights of 24-27th April) – Sheraton Atlantic City https://www.marriott.com/en-us/hotels/aiysi-sheraton-atlantic-city-convention-center-hotel/overview/
Boston (night of 28th April) - Kimpton Marlowe Hotel https://www.hotelmarlowe.com/
As with flights, we want to be flexible and delegates are free to stay at other hotels to meet their own requirements, but staying at the above hotels means that you will not have to travel to the recommended hotels for coach pick-ups. Hotels are available on many booking sites such as www.expedia.co.uk and www.hotels.com
Delegates are responsible for booking and paying for their own flights and accommodation – but please remember not to do this until your place on the mission has been confirmed and any grant offer has been confirmed.
Additional 1:1 Appointments During the Mission
We expect all delegates to make their own arrangements for any 1:1 meetings outside of the group programme detailed above. There will be limited time during the group programme for 1:1 programmes, but IPF22 represents a good opportunity to arrange meetings with contacts in-market through their WindMatch program. We anticipate that all delegates will make time ahead of the mission to arrange such 1:1 appointments with exhibitors and other contacts. There are no DIT office facilities in Atlantic City to arrange your meetings at, so you will need to make your own arrangements to meet at the hotel, expo etc.
If you require, DIT may be able to assist with additional appointments with our in-market partner, OCO Global, through our EISS service. Please note that this is a chargeable service and not covered by the mission registration fee. If you would like to use the EISS service, please contact your local DIT Adviser as soon as possible after having your place confirmed on the mission, but no later than the end of February 2022. Please note that requests for this additional support beyond the end of February are unlikely to be supported because of time constraints.
