Digital Info Day 5th set of calls - DIGITAL-2023-SKILLS-05

Just 54% of Europeans have basic digital skills, far below the 80% target set by the Digital Decade policy programme. The number of ICT specialists in Europe (currently around 9 million) also needs to increase to reach the target of getting to 20 million digital experts by 2030.

This is also the case in the cybersecurity sector, where a bigger pool of specialists can help protect businesses and public services in Europe and design the cybersecurity solutions of the future. The EU needs 200,000 more cybersecurity experts than it currently has available.

To address these challenges, the fifth round of DIGITAL Europe Programme has now been published, with a total budget of 42 million EUR that will be divided in three Open Calls:

  1. Specialised education programmes in key capacity areas

  1. Specialised education programmes in key capacity areas

  1. Cybersecurity Skills Academy
