Bursaries

Where necessary, it will be your responsibility to book and fund your travel to facilitate your attendance at the meeting. A limited number of travel or accommodation bursaries are available to qualifying attendees via grants from University College London. Delegates receiving a travel bursary must provide proof of ticket purchase payment (flight only), to a maximum value of $CAD400, from outside a radius of 120kms. Delegates must attend all scientific sessions and must submit a completed feedback form post the event. Travel receipts, together with your bank details, must be submitted at least 28 days PRIOR to the event. Accommodation bursaries will include 2 nights at the meeting hotel (room only – all extras to be paid for by the delegate).

The bursaries are at the discretion of the Chairs on a first-come-first served basis and you will be advised within 28 days of your registration.

Currency

The currency in Toronto is the Canadian Dollar ($CAD).

American Express, Diners Club, MasterCard and Visa are all widely accepted in shops and restaurants. ATMs are also widely available.

Dress Code

We encourage participants to dress comfortably in business casual attire as temperatures in meeting rooms will vary, we suggest you bring a sweater or light jacket to the sessions.

Electricity

In Canada and Quebec the standard voltage is 110-120 V (with a standard frequency of 60 Hz). In order to plug in your electric appliances, you may need a plug adapter or a converter.

Event Language

The event language is English. No translation will be provided.

Expenses

Please note due to the nature of the funding provided by the event sponsors, we are not able to refund any other expenses incurred. (e.g. car parking, transport to and from regional / international airports and train stations). Delegates are responsible for their own travel and accommodation (if you do not qualify for either bursary). Travel insurance to be arranged by the HCP directly.

Registration includes participation in the scientific programme including access to all scientific sessions and industry symposia. Day 1: Breakfast, coffee breaks, lunch and conference dinner. Day 2: Breakfast, coffee breaks and lunch. Delegates are responsible for their own travel and accommodation (if you do not qualify for either bursary). Travel insurance to be arranged by the HCP directly.

There will be an Event Information Desk onsite.

Insurance

Please check the validity of your own insurance. The event organisers cannot accept liability for personal injuries, loss or damage to property belonging to event participants (or their accompanying persons), either during or as a result of the event.

Please note, travel insurance is NOT provided for attendees and therefore it is the responsibility of the delegate to ensure all travellers are sufficiently insured to cover for cancellation, medical expenses, loss of baggage etc.

Support

CDNATL Canada 2020 is financially supported by the Pharmaceutical Industry and Academia. The Pharmaceutical Industry’s financial support for the event is restricted primarily to facilitating the development of the independent medical/scientific content and speaker fees. Funds from the Pharmaceutical Industry have not been used for travel, accommodation or any other ancillary expenses for participants. Supporters have had no input into the content of the independent scientific sessions or any other aspect of the meeting. Supporters are listed here.
