UK-Nordic conference on digital trade
The UK’s vision is to be a global leader in digital trade. The UK is addressing current and emerging market access barriers and working with partners to shape rules that keep pace with the increasing importance of digital trade and data in the global economy.
Sweden, Denmark and Norway are like-minded, digital front runners, which provides a firm basis for strengthening our cooperation in order to seize the global digital trade opportunities.
Our recent Electronic Trade Documents Act demonstrates the UK Government’s commitment to championing trade digitalisation that make trade cheaper, faster and more secure.
But what are the emerging digital trade policy challenges across the UK and Nordic markets?
As attention turns to the WTO’s 13th Ministerial Conference on 26-29 February 2024 in Abu Dhabi, the British Embassies in Sweden, Denmark and Norway invite government and business representatives to an online event on digital trade.
In a 90 minute session, senior policy leads from the UK, Denmark, Sweden and Norway will share insights into the current landscape for trade digitalisation and consider how digital trade, digital inclusion and the environment intersect.
We will bring together perspectives from government, industry and academia and identify shared approaches to minimising or removing emerging barriers to digital trade.
