EIT Health UK - Ireland will be hosting a public conference on July 17 at Trinity College Dublin. Titled ‘Innovating the Future of Healthcare in Ireland and the UK’, the conference will gather delegates from; industry, academia, healthcare providers, investors and start-ups to talk about how different sectors can work together to support innovation. 

The day will showcase some of the state-of-the-art innovation taking place across the EIT Health UK - Ireland network and promote collaboration across sectors and regions to create a healthier Europe.
The event will also host the EIT Health Headstart Award finals, where 22 innovative start-ups will pitch to secure one of the coveted Headstart Awards worth €50k each. The Headstart programme supports early stage companies and SMEs in developing new products and services and the selected companies will work on their product launch project with the help of the EIT Health network.

EIT Health Headstart Awards

The EIT Health Headstart Programme provides funding of up to €50 000 to support early stage companies and SMEs in developing new products and services. Selected companies will work on their product launch project with support from the regional managers to access local and EIT Health networks.

The purpose of the EIT Health Headstart Funding Programme is to:

  • support applicants in realising next steps to teaching the market and shorten time-to-market for innovative products and services;
  • verify the need/benefit of the product/service for users/customers/payers/partners;
  • increase the possibility of attracting further private investment

The deadline for registrations is June 30th. They will be reviewed before final confirmation of participation.
