About the event

Come and learn how to trade in the Commonwealth countries in Africa with the Cheshire Commonwealth Association and partners. Understand the key benefits and growing opportunities of trading with Africa. At the morning session of this event you will hear from five key speakers on the various aspects of trading with countries across Africa and learn from a panel of exporting experts. 

The afternoon is focused on a workshop presented by The Department for International Trade on the use of agents and distributors to enter international markets.

International Trade Adviser
Department for International Trade NW

Terser is the new Africa lead at DIT North West and Director of Manchester Africa Business Network, and regularly consults on Africa business strategy, helping UK enterprises gain access to African Markets by stimulating investment, business partnerships and enterprise development in the UK and Africa.  In addition to this he is a qualified and experienced Procurement and Supply Chain professional within depth experience in the aerospace and retail industry previously working for the likes of Airbus and The Co-op.

 
Graham Collins
Distribution Manager EMEA
EA Technology Ltd

Graham has had a long successful career for more than 30 years driving sales either direct or via distributor partners within EMEA. 

The key to his success has been working closely with local people in the territory who understand the local market and can aid  / assist faster go to market strategies. In a little over 2 years he has grown distributor sales at  EA Technology from 2% to 34% of their HV59’s sales.

 
Kevin Ledwith
Export Finance Manager
UK Export Finance

Kevin is an Export Finance Manager for UK Export Finance in the North-West.   He assists companies in understanding export finance requirements and helps identify an appropriate solution. This maybe via the private market or by using UK Export Finance assistance.

He has more than 30 years’ experience dealing with importing and exporting companies working in the International, Trade and Treasury departments of Barclays, National Australia Bank and Lloyds. Kevin has a degree in Finance from UMIST, is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and graduate of the Institute of Export.
