Mission overview

The Department for International Trade is organising a trade mission to Qatar. This will explore partnership and collaborative opportunities in corporate training.

The focus of the mission will be on:

  • World Cup related opportunities: wellbeing programmes, volunteer management, crowd & events management, sports law
  • Communications Training: social media writing, international & strategic brand management, reputation management, market segmentation analysis, digital marketing analytics, content creation, platform capabilities ie. Saas/Paas
  • Leadership & Management training
  • Health & Safety


The mission will give you an excellent opportunity to showcase your expertise and value add to key contacts in the region.

There will be a networking reception in the British Embassy and meetings with key stakeholders.

Qatar has strong ambitions to develop its sports and tourism sector arising from World Cup 2022. This Mission will offer you the chance to be a part of these opportunities.

Who should apply

We welcome applications from Further and Higher Education institutions and training providers with expertise in corporate training and a proven track record in working overseas.

Established businesses - Please note that on this occasion the Qatari stakeholders have stated that they will only be meeting medium to large businesses who have been trading for more than 5 years with experience of exporting and dealing with large projects

This trade mission is free to attend. Department for International Trade will organise and cover the cost of participation in all in country meetings, reception, in-country vehicle transport and networking events.

However, UK and international travel, subsistence, accommodation and other costs including visa fees are to be paid in full by the delegate.

Travel, visa and hotel arrangements

All flights and hotels must be booked by the delegates. We will give you recommendations, where possible.

Obtaining necessary visas is the responsibility of participants.
