Thailand boasts one of the largest economies in South East Asia and the government is committed to developing its trade and investment. This presents great opportunities for UK exporters, and thanks to enticing incentives, those wishing to invest in the area. This is particularly true along the vast Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) which straddles three eastern provinces of Thailand – Chonburi, Rayong, and Chachoengsao. As a government-funded project, the EEC is designed to develop the area into a leading ASEAN economic zone.

Graham Macdonald MBE, former Chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce Thailand, is travelling to the UK to meet companies who would like to discuss the many opportunities available in the EEC project. There are 12 key sectors of interest:

•    Next generation automotive
•    Smart electronics
•    Advanced agriculture and biotechnology
•    Food processing
•    High wealth and medical tourism
•    Digital
•    Robotics
•    Aviation and Logistics
•    Comprehensive healthcare
•    Biofuel and biochemicals
•    Education
•    Defence

This event will include an overview of the developments in Thailand and the ECC project, followed by a networking lunch. There are optional pre-booked one-to-one meetings with Graham Macdonald from 11:45am.
