About the event

The UK's Department for International Trade (DIT), in partnership with the Water Research Centre, invite you to a free virtual event to discuss the emerging opportunities in Africa's water sector on 26 May 2021, from 11:00am to 12:00pm BST.

The water sector is becoming increasingly important in the context of growth and development on the African continent, driving economic growth and supporting healthy environments. This is becoming ever more apparent as the continent seeks to address the COVID-19 pandemic, and as Africa starts to move beyond the pandemic, increasing access to water and sanitation will remain a top priority for all African Governments. In order to identify and understand this emerging area in Africa, DIT commissioned a research study on seven priority markets – Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Tanzania and South Africa. This webinar will outline the findings of the research study, clarifying the structure of the water sector, procurement frameworks and stakeholders and identifying and discussing the top water projects per country.

What to expect?

  • Learn about the research and what’s happening in several key African markets.
  • Identify opportunities for your business in working in these markets.
  • Receive the report after the event.

Join this webinar for more information if you are interested in opportunities in the water sector in Africa.
