The rapid growth of global trade presents significant opportunities for UK exporters. However, while the UK punches above its weight in exports, there is significant potential to do more. Reaching this potential will depend on the actions of both government and the private sector. This panel will discuss how trade finance, the banking sector, and access to market can help the UK reach its export potential.

Accessing infrastructure and construction opportunities in Africa

While Africa continues to serve up numerous opportunities for UK companies to export its goods and services across the continent, knowing how to break into the market remains a challenge. This panel will discuss how UK and non-UK contractors can access UKEF solutions to fund projects while leveraging the Middle-East-UK-Africa corridors. A case study will showcase how UAE-based ASGC Group integrated with the UK supply chain for a large hospital construction contract, with UKEF providing support to the Angolan government to fund the project. It has become one of the most successful UKEF transactions in the infrastructure sector in Africa. The panel will then discuss wider opportunities and solutions across the sector and region.
