It feels as if we are at a crossroads, with real opportunities to advance the cause of racial justice and migrants rights: a time when many people, corporations and institutions are more ready than ever to listen, learn and act to create change. But there are also very obvious threats to that potential for progress.
The question for us is: how do we come together to create programmes of action capable of harnessing the opportunities for change, addressing the threats and maintaining the recent momentum on racial equality, to move us forward towards a better, more inclusive, vision of Britain?
To this end, Runnymede Trust are creating a space for those of us working for migrants’ rights and racial justice; academics, corporations, policy makers, civil society, journalists, students and the general public, to come together and strategise evidence-based approaches to building a Britain in which we all belong.
