Data Protection Statement
The University of Leeds Conference Office will use the information you provide to manage your attendance at the event, as part of our contractual obligation to you as a delegate.

 

Your name and email address will be shared with the Society for the Social History of Medicine for the purpose of event planning and communication. If you provide information about dietary or access requirements, this may include data classified as special category data under UK GDPR. This information will be shared only with relevant internal departments (e.g. catering and accommodation services) strictly for the purpose of meeting your needs during the event.

If you choose to attend the conference dinner, you dietary and access requirements will be shared with the Faversham, Leeds.

 

 

 

The reduced rate (student/precarious) is available to students and postgraduate researchers, early career researchers, and precariously employed (individuals on fixed term sessional teaching contracts or those on fixed term research contracts with no access to research funding), unwaged, unaffiliated or retired researchers. These categories apply to the attendee’s circumstances on the first day of the conference.

 

At the end of the registration process you will be required to make a card payment. It is advised you do not begin the process unless you have the card that you are going to use to close to hand. Registrants from the University of Leeds alternatively may provide an account code from which the payment will be taken.

 

If you are registering on behalf of an attendee please complete the registration form (including email address) with the attendee information rather than your own. Receipts will be provided at the end of the registration process.

 

Registration refunds are available in full minus a £10 administration fee, provided the request is received by 17:00 on Monday 30 April 2026. 50% refunds are available for requests received between 17:00 on 30 April and 17:00 on 30 May 2026. No refunds are available after 30 May 2026. Substitutions can be made at any time free of charge up to 11 May 2026. No substitutions are available after this date.
