The Department for Business and Trade [DBT] Candidate Support Session aims to support prospective Civil Service applicants to navigate the application process as many applicants find it difficult to complete and understand. This initiative is in line with the Government Levelling Up agenda. We collect your personal information (name and email address only), to facilitate your attendance to the Candidate Support Session we offer on certain dates and to seek your feedback on the session you attended. By completing and providing your information, you agree for the DBT to process your information for the purposes provided above. We are asking for your name and email address to send the Candidate Support session link to and to seek your feedback. You can withdraw your consent at any time by sending an email to resourcing@businessandtrade.gov.uk

How long we keep your data - DBT will only retain your personal information for as long as: It is needed to fulfil the purposes we collect it for. We will retain any personal data you provide to us with your response for no more than 1 year from the date of collection of information.
How we protect your data and keep it secure - We are committed to doing all that we can to keep your data secure. Our system is set up to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure of your data - for example, we protect your data using password protection, limiting staff access to specifically “Security Cleared” individuals. We also make sure that any contractor and subcontractor keep all personal data they process on our behalf secure and comply with Data Protection legislation. We demand that information security controls and working practices in keeping data secure are accredited to International Standard for Information, ISO 27001.
Your rights and access to your information - This is a voluntary participation. By completing the registration form you are providing consent for this information to be collected and processed.
