What to expect?
Join the Vets Now Manchester Internal Medicine Team for an interactive day focused on immune-mediated haematological diseases of dogs and cats.
The morning will cover the more common diseases of immune-mediated haemolytic anaemia and immune-mediated thrombocytopaenia with both diagnosis and treatment covered. In the afternoon we'll cover the indications for bloods transfusion indications and how these are administered. We'll finish with a focus on some more unsual haematological diseases including precursor targeted immune-mediated anaemia (PIMA) and infectious/toxic causes of haematological disturbances.
The whole day will be based around a systemic, evidenced based approach to cases presenting with haematological disturbances and we'll make sure to point out where finances are best spent in those situations where resources might be more limited.
