The URBACT University 2026 is a capacity-building event, delivered in English, dedicated to Transfer Networks and it will take place in Cork (Ireland) from Tuesday 25 to Thursday 27 August 2026.
What will you gain by attending?
The URBACT University is designed to equip up to 300 city practitioners involved in Transfer Networks with methodologies and tools that will be useful for the development of their Transfer Plans.
Joining the URBACT University will prepare you for the next steps of your Transfer Network journey. You will develop your professional skills and get to know a variety of tools helpful to meaningfully engage stakeholders in your URBACT project. You will also meet your network partners in person and develop contacts with many European cities in the Transfer Network community. Ultimately, you will strengthen your skills in participatory and integrated policy-making, all in a playful, creative learning environment.
Prepare to make an impact and become a change maker for your city!
Who should register?
Cities and Lead Experts of all approved Transfer Networks are required to attend the event. Given the topic of the training delivered, we expect mainly URBACT Local Group coordinators to attend. Priority will be given to:
Lead Partners of current Transfer Networks can register 2 people to the event (the URBACT Local Group coordinator and the Project Coordinator). Please make sure to agree locally before registering. Project Partners of current Transfer Networks should register 1 representative for the event (the URBACT Local Group Coordinator). As a Project Partner you can also nominate a second representative to register who will be placed on a waiting list and might be accepted at a later stage, only if there are remaining spots left for the event. Lead Experts of the current Transfer Networks National URBACT Points: one representative per country
You will experience hands-on trainings, so an active attitude and a good level of English are required!
Does registering mean my participation is confirmed?
Please wait for your registration to be confirmed and do not make any non-refundable travel or accommodation arrangements until your participation is approved. The automatic email acknowledging your registration is not the participation approval e-mail!
We hope to meet you in Cork in August!
