On the occasion of the official visit to the United Kingdom by TRH Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway, British and Norwegian businesses are gathered for a one-day business summit. The royal couple will be accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Ms Anniken Huitfeldt, Minister of Petroleum and Energy Mr Terje Aasland and Minister of Trade and Industry Mr Jan Christian Vestre.

Norway and the United Kingdom are embarking on a green industrial transition with goal of achieving net zero by 2050. This provides huge challenges and opportunities for our companies and we cannot achieve our ambitious goals without strengthening existing partnerships.

The United Kingdom is committed to becoming a "clean energy superpower" by the end of this decade and Norway has the resources and emerging technologies to support the United Kingdom in achieving its goal.

During this summit we are bringing together the most impactful, influential leaders and decision makers from both private and public sector. The event will emphasise the significance of policy frameworks, investments, advancement in digitalisation and artificial intelligence and cross-border cooperation between the United Kingdom and Norway. The purpose is to support the green industrial transition and establish our two countries as front-runners in sustainable energy and industries, while also reducing carbon emissions and strengthening energy security.

The Norwegian business delegation is led by Innovation Norway on assignment from Norway's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries.
