2023 UK Fintech Trade Mission to Australia’s Intersekt Festival

Date: Monday 28 August to Friday 1 September 2023
Locations: Sydney and Melbourne 

UK headquartered fintech, wealthtech, insurtech and regtech companies, with technology solutions for the financial services sector, are invited to express their interest to join the Department for Business and Trade's (DBT) trade mission to the 2023 Intersekt Festival.

The mission provides UK companies with an exclusive programme of activities and events including networking, pitching sessions and market briefings to connect with key stakeholders and decision makers in Australia’s fintech ecosystem.

By joining this delegation, you will:

  • Gain a better understanding of the Australian fintech ecosystem 
  • Meet key decision makers across Australia, including a range of stakeholders, industry and thought leaders
  • Build your knowledge and gain industry insights at a leading fintech conference

About the Intersekt 2023 Conference

Intersekt is the leading and most thought-provoking conference in the region. Selected UK companies will be invited to participate in the trade mission to Australia and join the UK Government at the Intersekt conference. Our Trade Mission allows you to meet and showcase your services and products, to key decision makers across Australia, including a range of stakeholders such as business, industry and thought leaders.

Expressions of Interest 
Expressions of interest are open to UK headquartered fintech, wealthtech, insurtech and regtech companies who have technology solutions for the financial services sector and have identified a go-to-market strategy for Australia. 

At this stage, we are gauging interest in this visit. Expressing your interest does not guarantee your place on the mission.

With news of the UK-Australia trade agreement expected to enter into force in May 2023, DBT decided to extend the deadline for expressions of interest to 11:59pm (BST) on Wednesday 7 June 2023. After this date, applications will be considered as there may be additional capacity for the mission.
