Concro’r Byd - Going Global

Gwahoddir cwmnïau cynhyrchu Cymru i ymuno â sesiwn Concro’r Byd a gynhelir gan yr Adran Busnes a Masnach, S4C a TAC.

Bydd y sesiwn yn rhoi cyngor a chymorth ymarferol i gwmnïau cynhyrchu yng Nghymru, a fydd yn galluogi cwmnïau i archwilio cyfleoedd mewn marchnadoedd rhyngwladol yn fwy hyderus.  Yn ogystal â rhoi sylw i ddosbarthu rhyngwladol, bydd y sesiwn yn archwilio ffrydiau ariannu a all gefnogi cwmnïau i ehangu’n rhyngwladol.

Bydd digon o gyfle i drafod a rhannu gwybodaeth, yn ogystal â chyfle i glywed yn uniongyrchol gan ddarlledwyr a dosbarthwyr am yr hyn maent yn chwilio amdano gan gynhyrchwyr.

    • Comisiynau a chyd-gomisiynau darlledu’r DU.  Bydd darlledwyr yn diweddaru cynhyrchwyr ar yr hyn maent am ei gomisiynu ar hyn o bryd a thrafod ariannu cynyrchiadau lleol.
    • Cyd-gynyrchiadau rhyngwladol.  Sut i ddod o hyd i gyd-gynhyrchwyr a gyda phwy i bartneru.
    • Grantiau, cronfeydd a mathau eraill o gymorth sydd ar gael i gynhyrchwyr.

13:30 - 14:30, Cael pethau wedi’u gwerthu: Bydd y sesiwn hon yn ystyried pa fathau o raglenni a allai ddenu buddsoddiad gan ddosbarthwyr, gan edrych ar sut mae rhaglenni gorffenedig yn cael eu gwerthu.  Bydd y cyfranogwyr yn canolbwyntio ar yr hyn sy’n ffurfio fformat gwerthadwy, yr hyn sy’n gwneud yn dda ar y farchnad ryngwladol ar hyn o bryd, gyda’r nod o gynorthwyo cynhyrchwyr i feddwl am y lle gorau i osod eu hadnoddau datblygu i lwyddo.

Welsh production companies are invited to join the Going Global session hosted by the Department for Business and Trade, TAC and S4C. 

The session will provide Welsh production companies with practical advise and support which will enable companies to explore opportunities in international markets with more confidence. As well as addressing international distribution, the session will explore funding streams that can support companies to expand internationally.

There will be lots of opportunity for discussion and knowledge sharing as well as a chance to hear directly from broadcasters and distributors on what they are looking for from producers. 

If you are interested in growing your business, exploring international markets and/or accessing funding, this is the session for you!

09:45-10:30, Come for breakfast! Working breakfast hosted by Wales Screen Academy, Bangor University with a brief introduction to this new project and a chance to discuss potential local collaborations.

10:30-10:45, Welcome from Dyfrig Davies, TAC Chair and a presentation on S4C's international strategy.

10:45-11:45The Big Picture: This session will address the key issues facing production companies including skills development and funding, and will discuss how to overcome them.

11:45-12:45, Getting Things Made: This session will be split into three sections covering:

  • UK broadcast commissions & co-commissions. Broadcasters will update producers on what they are currently looking to commission and discuss the funding of local productions.
  • International co-productions. How to find co-producers and who to partner with.
  • Grants, funds and other forms of support available for producers.

12:45-13:30, Networking lunch 

13:30-14:30, Getting Things Sold: This session will consider which kinds of programmes might attract distributor investment and look at how finished programmes are sold. The participants will focus on what constitutes a marketable format, and what is currently doing well on the international market, with the aim of helping producers to think about where their development resources might be best placed for success.
