The College of Agriculture Food & Rural Enterprise (CAFRE) develops and delivers programmes of education, training, knowledge and technology transfer, which develop the competences and values of people entering and those already working in the agri-food industry. At Loughry Campus there are full-time and part-time students enrolled in Further and Higher Food Education courses (from Level 2 to Level 6). Over 95% of students were in employment or further study six months after leaving the College. Loughry also delivers training and technology transfer programmes to approximately 1800 people annually, who are employed in the agri-food industry.

Loughry Campus comprises of two branches:

• Food Education Branch (FEB) - delivering full-time and part-time vocational courses in Further and Higher Education

• Food Technology Branch (FTB) - building the capacity of food businesses to adopt and exploit appropriate technologies through Knowledge and Technology Transfer (KTT) and Industry Training.

The Institute of Export and International Trade (IOE&IT) was established in 1935 as a charity, our mission is to support and professionalise international trade.

The support we provide in international trade covers all elements of import, export, supply chain logistics and customs. We have over 7500 members, both businesses and individuals and provide training courses, bespoke in house consultancy and education qualifications.

In the UK we have developed the UK Customs Academy on behalf of HMRC, which has enrolled 9000+ learners. We are the main delivery partner for the Trader Support Service (TSS) for Great Britain/Northern Ireland. This support service is aimed at overcoming the unique challenges posed by Brexit and the NI Protocol for UK businesses and to ensure that goods are moved efficiently and meet the regulations set by EU and UK government.

InterTradeIreland has been helping small businesses in Ireland and Northern Ireland explore new cross-border markets, develop new products, processes and services and become investor ready for over two decades. Based in Newry, our services include supports for sales growth and innovation, plus funding and business insights for SMEs across the island who are looking to grow their business. We’re also helping firms to continue adapting post-Brexit, with dedicated digital resources designed specifically for cross-border SMEs via our Cross-Border Trade Hub.

As the regional business development agency, Invest Northern Ireland’s role is to grow the local economy.  We do this by helping new and existing businesses to compete internationally, and by attracting new investment to Northern Ireland. Part of the Department for the Economy, it provides strong government support for business by effectively delivering the Government’s economic development strategies.

Since its inception in April 2015, Mid Ulster District Council has considered economic development as a priority, recognising that we all prosper in strong, competitive economy. With over 9,500 businesses, Mid Ulster has the largest concentration of businesses outside of Belfast and is the fastest growing district, consistently retaining its position as the most entrepreneurial region of all 11 council areas here. UK Export Finance (UKEF) is the UK government’s export credit agency. We support UK exporters, international project sponsors and buyers of UK goods and services; in the year 2022-23, we provided £6.5 billion in new, direct support for UK exports by working alongside over 100 banks and lenders to provide flexible, innovative, and competitive financing solutions. UKEF can support companies large and small across a range of sectors with their exports, from capital goods to services and intangibles such as intellectual property. Last year, 84% of the companies we directly supported with a UKEF product were SMES.
