"How to federate research assessing genetic diversity, from populations to ecosystems, among different scientific institutions in Switzerland and beyond and establish connections with other stakeholders (policy makers, NGOs, etc.)". This session will take place in the form of a workshop on current and future perspectives in genetic diversity assessment in Switzerland (collaborative projects, communication portal, elaborating on a national association/institute, etc). Outcomes from the workshop will be communicated in 2025 at a broader stakeholders’ event (more information to come). Attending and participating to the workshop in the 6th session is included in the overall fee of the conference but people interested in participating only to the stakeholders' session can register for free for this session in the registration form.
Participants can apply for a 15-minute oral contribution (+5 minutes for questions) or for a poster presentation.
Presenters are kindly requested to conclude their presentations with a slide on the practical implications of their work, potentially also related to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD).
Submitted abstracts (deadline April 30, 2024) will be reviewed by the organizing committee with decisions communicated by June 1st, 2024.
We encourage participants to consider sustainable travel options, especially by train, to reduce environmental impact. For international attendees, a hybrid format is available, allowing virtual participation.
