Snowmageddon in Newfoundland! (and Other ArcFM Mobile Adventures)

On January 17, 2020, eastern Newfoundland experienced its worst storm in decades delivering nearly 100 cm of snow (39 inches) and hurricane force winds. Around 25,000 customers lost power and the capital city of St. John endured a week-long state of emergency. ArcFM Mobile helped Newfoundland Power respond to Snowmageddon by giving field crews a real-time view of system configurations including incident information from ArcFM Responder OMS. This presentation will cover Newfoundland Power’s implementation and use of ArcFM Mobile for online/offline mobile GIS, outage management, and map correction redlining to enable improved GIS accuracy.
