“The Future of Insolvency Law”

The colloquium will focus on new trends and developments in insolvency law, as well as general challenges and perspectives on comparative and international insolvency law. We particularly welcome submissions analyzing any of the following topics:
In any case, any topic potentially dealing with new trends and developments in insolvency law will be considered for presentation. We particularly welcome research papers that adopt a comparative and empirical approaches, as well interdisciplinary studies on insolvency and restructuring that bring insights from different disciplines, including law, economics, finance, psychology, management and social sciences. We also encourage the submission of theoretical papers challenging existing approaches in insolvency law and providing new perspectives that can contribute to the improvement of insolvency law.
How to submit
The Academic Colloquium will be open to full-time academics. Nonetheless, part-time researchers, as well as practitioners, regulators, judges and policymakers interested in participating in the Academic Colloquium can also submit their expressions of interest to present a paper. The expression of interest to present a paper or work-in-progress at the INSOL Academic Colloquium should be sent to Hatty Norman (harriet.norman@insol.org), including the following information:
The expression of interest, along with the accompanying information mentioned above, should be submitted by 15 January 2025. Papers accepted for presentation will be notified by 15 February 2025. Early submissions are strongly encouraged.
