Bett UK 2025
22-24 January 2025
Welcome to the UK's Department for Business and Trade at BETT UK 2025.
.
We are excited to be back at the show, and this site, together with our online brochure (which will be available soon), will offer a flavour of our offer to UK and overseas delegates and exhibitors, exhibiting on our UK pavilion or elsewhere at BETT.
During BETT 2024, we celebrated being one of the most visited stands at what is one of the world’s best expositions for showcasing progress in education technology. I’m thrilled that the event continues to deliver great benefit for UK companies with successes in gaining international contracts a result of participation in BETT, and from engaging with DBT’s international network of education officials.
More recently, BETT Asia was also a resounding success. Held in Malaysia in October, the BETT `regional edition’ facilitated high numbers of B2B meetings and continued to bolster our strong government-level relationship with Ministers in the region. Invitations have been sent to Ministers from around the world – and including our very own UK Government International Education Champion Professor Sir Steve Smith - to join us in London, to continue the discussion. The event is set to continue cementing our partnerships and open doors for commercial opportunities for current and potential exporters.
As in previous years, we will work in partnership with BESA, to develop a suite of complementary activities, to be staged 22 – 24 January 2025. Our brilliant International Education team will be there in person to welcome you to the stand (NB10) which will be located in a prime location in the North Hall, as you enter visitor entrance N8. We will be there to offer key advice and assistance to you as UK providers, whether you are new to the world of export, or considering increasing your international presence. In addition to our overseas advisers, I am pleased that DBT Education colleagues from across the UK regions will also be present - including the North of England who are taking a local delegation to the show giving them the opportunity to connect with buyers.
Schools, further education colleges and higher education institutions – alongside national governments – are finding increasingly the need to get up to speed on emerging policies surrounding the effective utilisation of education technology. Our pavilion aims to showcase to overseas partners real-life examples of the UK’s innovative, inclusive and flexible learning solutions that impact teaching, learning, assessments, and student wellbeing across all streams of education, as well as industry.
Our comprehensive online brochure will share more detail, a summary of which is included below:
- Reserving 1-2-1 meetings with DBT overseas colleagues: this can be done by visiting the reception desks at the stand NB10, as a walk-in, or pre-booked online.
- Occupy a pod on the UK pavilion: where you will be centre stage in a high profile, impactful zone. Click here for more information
- Arranging meetings with UK edtech providers based on the UK pavilion.
- Sponsorship opportunities: promote your brand and support the UK presence at BETT by purchasing a sponsorship package with the UK pavilion. Elsewhere on the site you will find a Useful Resources page that includes reports (for example EdTech Opportunities in North America), background on trade agreements, and a link to our wider Education Landing page that showcases a selection of our upcoming international engagements.
Please do expect an entrance fee for walk-in delegates offering edtech solutions at this year’s event – as we continue our discussions with the event organisers, please do contact us direct to enquire about accessing a discounted rate (DBTeducation@brayleinoevents.com).
Growth is the number one mission of the government - and events such as BETT act as a platform for achieving that, by gathering providers, buyers, international ministers and influencers, to share experience and showcase the latest solutions. Speaking at the recent International Investment Summit, Prime Minister Kier Starmer said, “we have an amazing education system that produces some of the best talent in the world” – I hope that this is a statement that we can all collectively take great pride in hearing as champions for our incredible sector – as a sector that truly underpins and enables growth at all levels of society, at home and abroad, from the individual to the collective.
My colleagues and I look forward to seeing you at this year’s event.
Chris Boobier
Interim Head, DBT International Education Team
