Join us at the Communication Matters International AAC Conference
8th & 9th September at the University of Leeds
The Communication Matters International AAC Conference is the UK’s only in-person event for researchers, professionals, suppliers and users of Augmentative and Alternative Communication.
What you need to know
This year’s conference theme is IDENTITY.
Who are the keynote speakers this year?
Other sessions will be revealed as we get closer to the conference but will include:
- Research from independent organisations such as education, social or health services and universities.
- Clinical & Professional Service Delivery presented by health or education professionals or those working for other organisations for AAC users.
- Personal Stories & Case Studies which will include personal experience stories, single case studies and examples of AAC in the wider community.
Where is the conference?
At the University of Leeds in England, a prestigious 'world class' conference venue.
For the first time, the supplier exhibition is in the Refectory which includes a cafe and lounge area for delegates.
Is there accommodation available onsite?
Yes. Residential accommodation is available at the Storm Jameson Court hall of residence, which is at the centre of the pedestrianised campus and a short distance from the seminar rooms and exhibition hall. There is also a choice of hotels in the city.
How can I get there?
The historic city of Leeds has great transport links from all parts of the UK, with Leeds Bradford Airport 10 miles away and Leeds train station nearby. Trains run frequently from London King’s Cross and other major UK cities. Travelers to Heathrow can easily get to King’s Cross Station by Tube and make the onward journey from there. The campus is approximately half a mile from Leeds city centre on Woodhouse Lane.
