It aims to improve access to funding for female entrepreneurs and has convened over £250 million from investors. Backed by Chancellor Rachel Reeves, the Taskforce seeks to unlock future economic growth through 3 core objectives:
1. Deliver one of the world’s largest dedicated investment funding pots for female-powered businesses – with a goal of at least £250m in funding to be deployed by UK based, female-led investment managers or investment managers with a majority of female investment decision makers, investing in UK-based female and mixed businesses at every stage of investment.
2. Increase angel investment for female-powered businesses and encourage more women to become angel investors.
3. Support the broader ecosystem: We are working as a collective across the Financial Services Industry to enable more women to consider entrepreneurship – ensuring that they have the tools, resources and networks needed at the right time to start, run and scale their businesses and removing obstacles in their way.
