Buyer Terms and Conditions

By registering your attendance for the Made in the UK Sold to the World – Clean Energy event Friday 25th April 2025, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read carefully.  

 

1. Participation requirements:  

• Participation in The Made in the UK Sold to the World – Clean Energy event is available to procurement professionals, buyers, intermediaries, importers and direct suppliers, hereafter referred as ‘Buyers’. 

 

• Buyers must have purchasing authority. Exemption requests must be made via email to: MITUK_Roadshows@businessandtrade.gov.uk by the 11th April 2025. 

 

• Buyers’ places at the event will be confirmed by the Department for Business and Trade project team.  

 

• Buyers must register and complete a profile on the Swapcard platform in order to schedule meetings with UK Clean Energy Companies also registered at the event.  

 

2. Event Programme:  

 

• 25th April - prescheduled 1:2:1 virtual networking meetings via the Swapcard platform. 

 

• Buyers will be required to access Swapcard software and app to book meetings with UK Clean Energy Companies. 

 

• Buyers will request meetings with UK Clean Energy Companies (via Swapcard) based on mutually available time slots. 

 

• Buyers will be expected to attend four 1-2-1 meeetings. 

 

3. Communication:  

 

• Event communication will be managed via the Swapcard platform by the Department for Business and Trade project team, you can also contact them on the monitored email address MITUK_Roadshows@businessandtrade.gov.uk 

 

4. Cancellation terms:  

 

• Cancellation must be made as soon as reasonably possible by emailing  MITUK_Roadshows@businessandtrade.gov.uk

 

• Any cancellations must be made prior to 11th April 2025.  

 

5. Liability:  

 

The Department for Business and Trade will not in any event be held responsible or liable for failure to perform its obligations hereunder if such failure results from circumstances not under their control.

• Where you provide personal data to us, it is essential that you have the right to give us that personal data, and to allow us to use it as anticipated by the arrangements between us. This includes where the personal data that you are providing relates to people other than yourself. We will rely on you to make sure that you do have those rights. Both we and you will comply with our obligations under all relevant laws and rules on data protection and privacy.
