Calling Vets & RVNs: Submit Your ECC Case for Congress 2025

We are pleased to invite veterinary surgeons and registered veterinary nurses to submit case reports on any topic relevant to veterinary emergency and critical care!

Submission Requirements

Each case report should include:

• Signalment, history, and relevant physical examination findings
• Key diagnostic investigations and therapeutic interventions
• Nursing care
• Outcome and follow-up, if available
• Key learning points drawn from the case

Each submission must also include a brief statement outlining which aspects of the case were directly managed by the presenter.

Who Can Apply?

Submissions are welcome from veterinary surgeons and registered veterinary nurses. Prior experience in public speaking or presenting at conferences is not required.

Selection Criteria

• A maximum of six cases will be selected by the review panel
• Selection will be based primarily on clinical case management and reflective learning

Presentation Format

Each presenter will be allocated 10 minutes to present their case, followed by 3–5 minutes of questions from the judging panel. Presentations must strictly adhere to time limits and may be created using PowerPoint or a similar platform.

Key Dates

• Submission deadline: August 31st, 2025
• Notification of acceptance: No later than October 1st, 2025
• Presentation date: Thursday, November 6th, 2025

Judging and Prizes

Presentations will be evaluated by a panel of judges on the day. Feedback will be provided based on:

• Case management
• Presentation style and use of audio-visuals
• Timekeeping
• Engagement with panel questions

A winner will be announced at the end of the session.
