UK headquartered fintech, wealthtech, insurtech and regtech companies, with technology solutions for the financial services sector, are invited to express their interest to join the Department for Business and Trade's (DBT) trade mission to the 2025 Intersekt Festival in Australia.

The mission provides UK companies with an exclusive programme of activities and events including networking, pitching sessions and market briefings to connect with key stakeholders and decision makers in Australia's fintech ecosystem. The mission will also include one ticket per company to attend the Intersekt Festival (17-18 September).

Dates: Monday 15 September to Friday 19 September 2025

Why Australia?

Australia has a well-established financial services sector that holds a strong position in the Asia Pacific region and has a stable regulatory ecosystem. Australia continues to establish itself as a global hub of fintech innovation and with regulatory reform in place, new technology solutions emerging, and evolving consumer expectations, there are growing areas of opportunity. Focus areas include payments, AML/CTF, the Consumer Data Right, the use of AI and data analytics, climate and cyber risks, and more.

 

What is Intersekt?

Now in its 9th year, Intersekt is one of the leading fintech conferences in the region. It is the largest gathering of Australian fintechs, hubs, accelerators, policymakers, regulators, investors and advisors, devoted to examining, discussing and unlocking the potential of Australia’s Fintech market.

Expressions of interest are open to UK headquartered fintech, wealthtech, insurtech and regtech companies who have technology solutions for the financial services sector and have identified a go-to-market strategy for Australia.

Submitting an expression of interest does not guarantee your place on the mission. We will be reviewing applications and outcomes will be shared in early August.
