Prof. Mojca Jensterle Sever, MD, PhD, is a consultant endocrinologist at the University Medical Centre Ljubljana, Slovenia, where she leads the Endocrine Outpatient Clinics, and a Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Medicine. She completed her medical degree and PhD at the University of Ljubljana and undertook three months of postdoctoral training in Endocrinology at the Academic Medical Center, University of Amsterdam.
Her research work focuses on obesity, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and incretin-based therapies, as well as adult growth-hormone deficiency and secondary osteoporosis. She is the lead author of national guidelines for PCOS and has co-authored national guidance on the pharmacological treatment of obesity.
Professor Jensterle Sever has authored over 110 SCI-indexed publications (Research Gate h-index 35; >3,500 Citations) and leads or participates in multiple national and international clinical trials. She is active within the European Society of Endocrinology and the AE-PCOS Society, and previously served as Slovenia’s national representative to the UEMS Section of Endocrinology.
Prof. Yves Boirie has been trained as MD, with specialisation in endocrinology, diabetes and completed his education in nutrition with a PhD thesis and a fellowship at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, USA.
He is Professor of Nutrition at the University of Clermont Auvergne, France, and the head of the Clinical Nutrition department at the University Hospital of Clermont-Ferrand. He is leading a research team entitled “Diet, muscle health and Sarcopenia” within the of Human Nutrition Unit (UNH), one of the larger research unit in Nutrition in France and essential part of the Human Nutrition Research Center of Auvergne (CRNH Auvergne).
