ABOUT THE
LOCATION

Located in the heart of Leuven’s revitalized Vaartkom district, De Hoorn offers a unique blend of heritage, creativity, and innovation—an ideal setting for our scientific event.

As a proud member of the Flanders Heritage Venue network since 2018, De Hoorn combines internationally recognised quality with a strong commitment to accessibility, sustainability, and an outstanding visitor experience.

Housed in the former brewery where Stella Artois was first crafted in the 18th century, the venue seamlessly merges historic character with a dynamic atmosphere. The iconic copper brewing kettles remain as a reminder of its past, while the building now serves as a thriving hub for creative industries and forward-thinking ideas.

De Hoorn embodies both tradition and renewal, offering an inspiring environment for knowledge exchange and innovation.
