The UK creates exceptional food and drink at every stage from farm to fork, providing unprecedented opportunities for UK exporters. In 2019, food and drink exports contributed £21.6bn to the economy.

The Department for International Trade (DIT) have a number of events including webinars, trade shows and missions which we are either hosting, supporting or attending. You can find out more information about the events below.

Events and support for all businesses

Export Support Service

DIT launched the Export Support Service to enable SMEs to take advantage of the new opportunities that lie before them as they look to export and grow in a post-Brexit world. The new service brings together well-established government support and helps SMEs navigate existing sources of information with bespoke, tailored guidance (such as HMRC’s Customs and International Trade helpline and Defra’s Rural Services helpline). It sits alongside DIT’s wider package of support for exporters, helping UK businesses export more and with more confidence.

The Export Support Service will initially focus on questions businesses have about trading with Europe but may expand to cover more global markets in the future.

Businesses can access the Export Support Service by visiting www.gov.uk/ask-export-support-team or by calling 0300 303 8955.
