Essential things to keep in mind

Stable connection

Make sure that you have a stable internet connection before attending the meeting, to avoid missing important portions of the event because of avoidable connection issues.

Log in early...

Log in 30 minutes before the start of the event to test the given link ahead of time. During this time, we will provide an introduction to the use of the meeting tool.

with typing your real names

When prompted to add your name in the meeting tool, please use your first and last name. If you log in with a nickname or an alias then we will have a hard time knowing who you are.

Use the chat function to ask questions

There are many of you taking part in the meeting. To make sure we can answer as many questions as possible, please use the chat function to ask questions.

Use the hand raising function to ask to speak. The moderators will then give you the floor.

In order to request the floor to make an intervention raise your hand by selecting the 'raise hand' button on the bottom of your screen. By raising your hand, the moderators will know that you want to speak and will then give you the floor. Once your "speak" button is activated (blue), you can click on the button to speak.

Troubleshooting

Use this link to assess your internet connection, audio connection and video quality.

In case you have issues with the sound or the video, please try the following steps:

  1. Make sure you allow access to your microphone and camera.
  2. Use the settings button on the broadcaster to select your microphone, headset and speakers.
  3. Wait for those buttons to turn blue. Orange color means the connection is still being established. If the icons are grey, it means your microphone, speakers or camera are turned off.

If you still have trouble seeing the video or hearing the sound, try following these recommendations:

  1. Simply restart the broadcaster page on your browser.
  2. If restarting the page doesn’t help, try using Private/Incognito mode.
  3. If Private/Incognito mode also doesn’t help, quit the browser and open it again, make sure it is updated to the latest version.
  4. Finally, if restarting the browser doesn’t work, try restarting your iPad or computer.
