Talk, Learn, Do

A MoneySense workshop for parents

Do you know how to talk to your children about money?

The earlier in life you start teaching your children about money, the better their chances of managing it well later on, when it really matters.

That’s why, in partnership with the Money and Pensions Service, we're offering these free, online workshops to help parents and carers learn how to talk to their children (aged 3-11) about money.

From using everyday experiences to teach money skills, to advice on dealing with pestering, and the positives of pocket money.

With a selection of dates and times throughout July, there's bound to be a session to suit your schedule. Sign up below today!

“The session was really fun and interactive and I felt empowered to not only teach my kids the best habits about money but also took away practical tips to involve them in everyday activities that involve money. i.e. food shopping and saving up for what they want.” Parent

Tuesday 13th July(12:00 - 14:00)

Wednesday 14th July(10:00 - 12:00)

Tuesday 20th July(18:30 - 20:30)

Thursday 22nd July(12:00 - 14:00)

We've scheduled the sessions for 2 hours (with a 10 min break), but we'll probably finish a bit earlier

You will need access to the internet and Zoom - your link will be provided in your confirmation email once you have registered.

Talk, Learn, Do is for adults but we know what it’s like – children, pets etc. are welcome to play in the background or sit on your lap!

This workshop is a pilot because it is being delivered for the first time by NatWest Group and we are using Zoom, rather than a face to face delivery method, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.  The evaluation is being managed by our partner IFF-Research.  There will be some questions before and after the workshop to evaluate your experience, there will also be the option to participate in a follow up interview.  We really appreciate your participation in each of these stages as it will help us ensure Talk, Learn, Do is the best it can be.

Once registration is complete you will be sent a confirmation email with further details on how to join the event on the date you have selected. We will be using Zoom for these events which enables you to join via your PC, laptop, tablet or mobile device, however joining by computer and using Chrome is recommended.
