UK Sports sector research

We have created a series of research pieces designed to support UK sports economy companies who are either new to exporting or for companies who are seeking to build on their understanding of how to maximise their exporting capability to major sporting events or Expos.

Companies requesting access to the research area must be registered in the UK and provide economic value to the UK through the exporting of their products or services to the international market, or have an aspiration to do so.

The research is comprised of three different parts:

1. An events calendar containing details of international major sports events and Expos taking place between 2021 -2036.
2. A report which provides an introduction to international major sporting events and Expos eco-system, drawing on industry advice and insights and providing guidance on how best to approach exporting to major events overseas including understanding your product, the event opportunity, market in which the event is taking place, procurement process and potential routes to market. The report also provides advice on contract considerations should a contract be awarded.
3. A number of Talking Head videos from leading UK sports economy company figures with experience of operating in overseas markets in terms of scaling up, responding to client briefs, key challenges, critical decision making when growing internationally and advice to companies looking to export to major events.
