The Missing Link: International Perspectives on Culture and Climate

Wednesday, 29 September 2021 14:00-15:30 CEST

About the Event

To launch the UK House Pre-COP programme, the British Council and non-profit organisation Julie's Bicycle will host an international culture and environment panel discussion as part of the British Council’s Climate Connection.
The panel, composed of key representatives from the arts, climate and policy, will reflect on the relationship between culture and climate change and share creative responses. The discussions will consider how cultural policy can strengthen action on the environment and explore the creative climate movement and its power to mobilise action.

This event will combine conversation with presentations and performances, showcasing the creative climate movement and the possibilities for policy-making. The outcomes will inform published findings presented at the COP26 Summit in November.
The British Council’s Climate Connection is a global platform for dialogue, cooperation and action against climate change in the lead up to COP26. Julie’s Bicycle is a pioneering non-profit organisation, mobilising the arts and culture internationally to take action on the climate and ecological crisis.
