About the event

The climate crisis reaches every corner of society and every business, organisation and industry has a role to play in building a better, greener, and more sustainable future.

Join us on 5 November in Glasgow where you’ll learn how to affect change from a grassroots level and become an institutional activist in your workplace or learning organisation.

If you’re passionate about sustainability but not sure what to do or how to get started, then join our event which will give you a simple framework to build a member-led network that affects change from the ground up.

We know that every organisation has the talent, energy, ideas, and people who together can make affect meaningful change from within. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about the type of change you can affect within your wider organisations and in your career. The key learnings will be sector-agnostic, so we encourage anyone who is passionate about sustainability to come along regardless of where they might want to build their careers!

The event will include:

• A panel discussion (live streamed for virtual attendees with Q&A) with 4 institutional activists from NatWest Group, Hitachi, Scottish Power and Microsoft discussing:
  • How they have become institutional activists
  • The impact they are having
  • Practical advice for beginning your institutional activism journey
• A rotational session with direct interaction  with the panelists - your chance to ask challenging questions about becoming an institutional activist 
• A networking session including drinks and canapés - connect with like-minded institutional activists to get ideas, build your network and drive change
