Leeds Digital Festival

Session one: The Global Appetite for UK Tech & Digital Solutions
Date: Thursday 22 September 2022, 9:15 - 11:30
Venue: Platform Leeds or Online (event start 10:00 for virtual delegates)
During the event, delegates will hear from tech specialist Chris Moore and from a range of speakers from our DIT overseas offices including:
- Indonesia
- India
- Singapore
- Germany
- Spain
They will talk about what opportunities are available, the best route to access these, how to connect with local teams and grow your business in these regions.
Session two: Opening International Markets - Free Trade & Digital Agreements: The Opportunities for UK Businesses
Date: Wednesday 28 September 2022, 9:15 - 11:30
Venue: Platform Leeds or Online (event start 10:00 for virtual delegates)
During this event we will hear from the free trade agreement negotiation teams for:
- Singapore
- Japan
- India
- Israel
Delegates joining this session will learn more about the latest trade agreement developments – confirmed and in the pipeline – and to understand how they can ease international trading for tech & digital businesses.

AI World Congress
28th-30th of September
DIT Seoul will bring some UK AI companies to exhibit at the conference. You can apply to be part of the UK pavilion until 15th of August. Click here.

GITEX Global and AI Everything will help companies springboard to the UAE.

Web Summit

DIT will have a large presence at Web Summit in Portugal.
Viet Nam
Smart Cities Mission

In November, DIT will be taking a Smart City Trade Mission to visit Viet Nam. The mission will travel the length of this fast digitising market. Full details of the mission can be found here.

Trade Mission to Hyderabad and Bangalore Tech Summit
14th-18th of November
In November 2022, the Department for International Trade will be leading a trade mission of some of the UK's most exciting technology companies to Bengaluru (Bangalore) Tech Summit. Now in its 25th year, this trade show is one of Asia's most prestigious, bringing together technology buyers, pioneering businesses and researchers, consultants and academia in the spectacular grounds of Bangalore Palace.

Barcelona
Smart City Expo World Congress 2022
14th - 17th November
DIT in the Northern Powerhouse are leading a Trade Mission to the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona this November. As a UK company, this is your opportunity to increase your knowledge of the smart city sector, engage with international clients, and promote your products and services overseas. It's expected that over 24,000 people will attend, with speakers and attendees from over 140 countries and over 700 cities.
What's included:
- Free entry to Smart City Expo World Congress 15 to 17 November.
- Pre-mission briefing to gain insight into the EU market.
- Welcome reception at the Consulate in Barcelona on 14 November.
- Expo tour on 15 November.

Cybersecurity trade mission to South Korea
The British Embassy in Seoul is exploring opportunities in cybersecurity for UK companies and will propose an interesting programme for UK cybersecurity businesses wanting to export to South Korea.

UK companies will be visiting different major North American cities to meet with potential buyers interesting in buying from innovative UK tech companies.
